The aim of the pre-school is to introduce the main themes of the trimester to its younger participants, namely PhD students and post-doctoral fellows. The following introductory courses on the general themes of the trimester are planned:
- An introduction to stochastic dynamics and interacting particle systems
- An introduction to statistical mechanics
- Numerical integration of stochastic dynamics of Langevin type
- An introduction to kinetic and stochastic models in life sciences.
Each course will be 6 hours long. The school will take place at CIRM, an international mathematics center located near Marseille, in the south Mediterranean coast of France.
