Following the work of Abate, Bracci, and Tovena, I will explain a relation between the real integral curves of a homogeneous vector field on ${\mathbb C}^2$ and the geodesics for a suitable meromorphic connection on ${\mathbb P}^1({\mathbb C})$. The result partially generalizes in higher dimensions
