The meeting will take place on the ULB Campus du Solbosch, Bâtiment D, 30 Avenue Depage, 1050 Bruxelles.
Public transport lines: trams 8 and 25, buses 71 and 72.
Name of the stop: ULB
Phone applications: STIB, Citymapper
* From Brussels Airport
Trains offer direct connections to city center. For downtown: get off at Bruxelles-Central; For Place Louise: get off at Bruxelles-Midi and take metro 2 or 6 (direction Elisabeth).
If you need to go directly to the Solbosch campus, a good tip is to either
- take an IC train towards Dinant and to get off at Etterbeek (4th stop)
- or take an IC train towards Charleroi-Sud, and to get off at Etterbeek (4th stop) or at Boondael (5th stop).
From Etterbeek, you can quickly join the campus taking tram 25 (direction Boondael, 4th stop). From Boondael, you can join the campus either by foot or taking tram 25 (direction Rogier) or 8 (direction Louise). You may need to wait for these trains (globally there is one only each 30 min), but this is nevertheless most often the fastest option.
* From Charleroi Airport (sometimes referred to as Brussels South Airport)
You’ll discover that it is not really in Brussels (that’s low cost ..). Buses allow you to join the main station (Bruxelles-midi) in about 1 hour. From there, see below.
* From train stations and city center.
You can reach the campus with tram 8 (direction Roodebeek from city center), which starts at Place Louise and follows avenue Louise. Place Louise is easy to reach by metro (line 2 and 6: direct connection from Bruxelles-Midi; connect at Artsl-loi with lines 1 and 5) and many other trams and buses.
Alternatively, you can take metro 5 till Delta, and from there take bus 71 for a few stops.
It is rarely a good idea to take the bus 71 from the city center although it offers a direct connection from, e.g., Bruxelles-Central station. It is indeed not very comfortable and often stuck into the traffic.
