The fifth edition of the Algebraic Days of Gabon took place in École Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Libreville, Gabon, from March 10 to 23, 2025. This mathematical event followed on the fourth edition of the Algebraic Days of Gabon (2024).

The Algebraic Days of Gabon are part of the research project REDAGAAC. This project aims to develop and strengthen audacious and innovative mathematical collaborations in Arithmetic and Geometry with Central Africa, and to train a new generation of researchers in this region who will then act as a lever to train the next generations.

This event has received special support from the International Center for Mathematical Sciences (ICMS), Edinburgh, UK, and the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques (IHES), France.

The fifth edition of the Algebraic Days of Gabon consisted of three main activities:

  • Advanced courses for PhD and master students
  • Research lectures and progress reports on the activities of REDAGAAC
  • Outreach activities for popularizing mathematics, in the framework of the International Day of Mathematics 2025, and about the gender gap in science,  in the framework of the International Women’s Day 2025. We are also organizing the Mathematics Olympiad of the ENS Libreville Department.
