Description
For the matings of quadratic polynomials, the mateability was characterized by Mary Rees and Tan Lei,
via Levy cycle theorem. For higher degree polynomials, with the absence of Levy cycle theorems,
mateablity criterion is much harder to obtain. In this talk, I will discuss a possible characterization
via a tree defined from the Thurston obstruction.
