Description
I shall present a panoramic view to the small
volume spectrum of hyperbolic space forms Q of higher
dimensions. In the focus is the interplay of the combinatorial
and geometrical structure of a polyhedral model of Q with
the algebraic properties of the associated fundamental
group. The goal is to explain the coincidence of extremality
properties of some of the involved invariants.
