Stat-Mech in Créteil is a recurrent statistical mechanics workshop organized by members of the LAMA probability team.
This edition will focus on three major fields within discrete probability: statistic mechanics, percolation and random graphs. These fields represent particularly dynamic areas of research, both in terms of their theoretical richness and their numerous applications. Statistical mechanics provides powerful tools for modeling and understanding emergent phenomena in complex systems, with profound implications in physics, biology, and beyond. Percolation theory is a fundamental framework for analyzing phase transitions and connected structures, with direct applications in epidemiology (modeling disease spread). Random graphs enable the modeling and study of communication networks, social systems, and biological interactions—topics of growing interest in today's interconnected world.
