The production of intense electromagnetic radiation can be achieved in synchrotron radiation facilities. The radiation produced by the acceleration of the electron beam is a light source that can be used for experiments in various scientific fields and in industrial applications. In this talk, I will present a model which describes the dynamics of a relativistic electron bunch in the storage ring of a synchrotron particle accelerator. It consists in a Vlasov-Fokker-Planck type equation with non-symmetric self consistent interactions. I will talk about the derivation of the model as well as its well-posedness, regularity and long-term behavior of solutions.
