Toward a new method for computing reduced forms of linear differential systems

In this talk, I will report on a work in progress in collaboration with Moulay Barkatou, Jacques-Arthur Weil (XLIM - DMI), and Lucia Di Vizio (CNRS, Univ. de Versailles-Saint Quentin). I will first review some basic facts concerning linear differential systems, differential modules, differential Galois groups and their Lie algebra. Then, I will recall the notion of reduced form for a linear differential system. Finally, I will present a new approach for computing such reduced forms of linear differential systems. Details on the different steps of the method will be given in a second talk on the same subject.
