Description
I will explain a point of view which allows to treat functions with isolated singularities as geometric objects ("non-commutative spaces") as nice as smooth projective varieties. It is based on the theory of differential-graded categories and, in particular, on categories of matrix factorizations. This approach leads to interesting geometric invariants of singularities, both classical (similar to de Rham cohomology and Chern classes) and quantum (analogs of Gromov-Witten invariants and quantum cohomology).
