Coming to Tours:

Planes ...

The city of Tours has an airport, "Aéroport de Tours Val de Loire," which is connected by Ryanair flights to London, Dublin, Porto, Marrakech, and Marseille (please check the flight schedule in advance).

... trains ...

Tours can be reached in 1 hour by the fast train TGV from the Montparnasse station of Paris and, in 1 hour 50 minutes, from the Charles-de-Gaulle Airport (Paris). The trains are direct or almost direct, with a short stop at a small railway station, Saint-Pierre-Des-Corps (5 minutes from Tours). The Orly airport (Paris) is connected to the Montparnasse station via OrlyBus and metro line M6. The train tickets can be booked via the railway company SNCF

... and automobiles.

Arrive by train/bus:

From Tours railway station, take rue de Bordeaux (semi-pedestrian) to reach "Place Jean Jaurès" (the central square with two, often but not always working, fountains). From there, take line 2 (also known as "tempo 2") towards “CHU Trousseau” with a typical natural frequency of one bus per 7-9 minutes during the daytime. Other lines (3A, 3B, 14) also stop at the science faculty but are less efficient. From Saint-Pierre-des-Corps station, take line 16 towards “Joué-les-Tours, Blotterie.” In any case, get off at the “Faculté de Grandmont” stop—often expressively abbreviated by the bus company as "Fac Grandmont" [sic]—located on Avenue Monge.

For timetables and lines, consult the website Fil Bleu. They have an app (Google Play / App Store) which, despite a low rating, works.

The workshop will take place at Seminar Room 0150, Building L, ground floor (again, Google Maps).
