Bartosz Trojan: Compactifications of affine buildings. Part I. Homogeneous trees

Abstract: I am going to introduce affine buildings and indicate what are the analytic problems one can be interested in. In particular, I describe several compactification procedures, among them Martin compactification, which motivates the study of random walks. The first part is devoted to study homogenous trees.
