Description

The vanishing viscosity limit for incompressible flows in the presence of rigid boundaries is an active area of research, with a classical open problem at its core: are limiting flows solution of the inviscid equations? There are many partial results, and one direction of progress has been to consider this limit for flows with symmetry. In this talk we examine the literature along this direction, presenting a few key ideas and some recent results.
