Allard’s celebrated rectifiability theorem asserts that for d-dimensional varifold V whose first variation is a Radon measure, the restriction of V to points where the lower d density is positive is rectifiable. I will outline the proof of the analogous result when one considers the first variation of an anisotropic functional, for which monotonicity formulas are not known, under appropriate conditions on the Lagrangian.
