CIMI26 Organizers

This workshop is part of the CIMI 2026 thematic trimester on “Low-Resource Settings in AI”. The goal of this trimester is to deepen our understanding of AI models—particularly pre-trained neural models such as language, vision, and multimodal models—under conditions of severe data or computational constraints.

During this workshop, We will focus in particular on models and systems developed when available data is scarce or expensive to obtain (e.g., a language or domain that is underrepresented, annotation requires expertise).

The workshop will feature presentations by international guests and researchers from Toulouse, as well as an hackathon. The tentative program is available (see bottom of this page), and we are pleased to confirm the participation of our distinguished guests:

·       Rodrigo Agerri, HiTZ Center - Ixa, University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU (Spain)

·       Eneko Agirre, University of the Basque Country UPV/EH (Spain)

·       Djoerd Hiemstra, Radboud University (The Netherlands)

·       Adam Jatowt, University of Innsbruck (Austria)

·       Jussi Karlgren, AMD Silo AI (Finland)

·       Shu Okabe, TUM Heilbronn (Germany)

·       Barbara Plank, LMU Munich (Germany)

·       Senja Pollak, Jožef Stefan Institute (Slovenia)

·       Laurent Prévot, Aix Marseille Université (France)

·       Damiano Spina, RMIT University (Australia)

·       Tilahun Yeshambel, Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia)

This programme will be complemented by discussions, round tables and an hackathon.

Participation is free, but registration is required (see below) so that we can better assess our organizational needs.
