This one day event is part of the CIMI 2026 thematic trimester on “Low-Resource Settings in AI”. The goal of this trimester is to deepen our understanding of AI models—particularly pre-trained neural models such as language, vision, and multimodal models—under conditions of severe data or computational constraints.

This event focuses on One Health. One Health is an integrated and interdisciplinary approach that recognizes that the health of humans, animals, plants, and ecosystems is closely interconnected. Addressing complex health challenges therefore requires bringing together knowledge, data, methods, and expertise from multiple disciplines, ranging from medicine and veterinary science to environmental science, biology, data science, and artificial intelligence.

In this context, the generation and use of data raise particularly important challenges. One Health applications often involve heterogeneous, multimodal, spatial, clinical, environmental, or biological data, which may be scarce, incomplete, difficult to access, or costly to produce and annotate. These constraints create a need for innovative approaches to data generation, modelling, integration, simulation, interoperability, and knowledge representation.

The programme will explore these questions through a series of talks illustrating different ways of working with low-resource data in the One Health field. Contributions will cover topics ranging from digital models and digital twins for bioprocesses, spatial information in data-scarce settings, and the generation of multimodal anaesthesia data, to synthetic populations, mobility modelling, and the interoperability of One Health ontologies and terminologies.

By bringing together researchers from different disciplines and institutions, the event aims to foster exchanges around common methodological challenges and to highlight how AI, modelling, and data-driven approaches can contribute to One Health research when data and computational resources are limited.

Participation is free, but registration is required so that we can better assess our organizational needs.
