Update on random sections of convex bodies: A connection with Information-Based Complexity

I will present new results concerning upper and lower bounds on the diameter of random sections of convex bodies. The parameters can be computed very explicitly in the case of p-ellipsoids (images of B_p^n​ under a diagonal transformation) as a function of the "axes" lengths. I will discuss challenges arising from Information-Based Complexity (IBC) Theory and explain the implications of our results.
