Constructing Singular 3-Manifolds from Expanding Thurston Maps

The class of expanding Thurston maps on S² possesses rich combinatorial structure. Using these maps as a template, we construct a new dynamical system by taking the metric quotient under the identifications induced by the dynamics: a singular 3-manifold with a small set of singularities equipped with a homeomorphism.
We also establish a necessary condition ensuring that the resulting singular 3-manifold has a unique singular point.
