abstract: Supersymmetric gauge theories have led to remarkable interactions between quantum field theory and enumerative geometry. In this talk, I will start with an overview of the physics idea and discuss what kind of enumerative invariants arise in this context. I will then present a new result on the (K-theoretic) I-function, which is seen as a generating function of the Gromov-Witten invariants via the mirror symmetry, together with its relation to integrable systems.
