Description

The soliton resolution conjecture for a dispersive equation claims that, in the long time asymptotics, every solution decouples as a sum of soliton solutions up to a radiative remainder.
I will discuss a recent proof of this conjecture in the special case of the Benjamin-Ono equation ( in collaboration with Louise Gassot and Peter Miller).
