Anosov subgroups of a higher rank semi-simple Lie group are the natural analogue of convex cocompact subgroups of rank one Lie groups.Farre, Pozzetti and Viaggi identified conditions on the limit set of an Anosov subgroup of PSL(d,C) which guarantee that it is virtually isomorphic to a Kleinian group. We will discuss their proof and some recent work with Zhang and Zimmer which offers further conditions that guarantee that the subgroup is actually the image of a uniform lattice in PSL(2,C) under an irreducible representation.
