Description
In this introductory talk, all concepts will be defined and explained in detail. We talk about the meaning of quivers with relations and motivate the theory by basic examples from Linear Algebra. By looking at representations of such quivers, we discuss an important example in detail: How is the Jordan Normal form of matrices of square size n related to this setup? The strength of methods and techniques which are available for quiver representations will be sketched. Prerequisite: Linear algebra, Jordan normal form
