Description

Simultaneously used Point values, Averages and Moments and their Inter-Relation: Active Flux, Multi-Moment Method, Virtual Finite Elements and related numerical methods

This workshop focuses on numerical methods which employ different types of degrees of freedom to approximate the solution, in particular pointwise and integral degrees of freedom (averages, moments). Such methods are at the interface of Finite Element and Finite Volume methods. Therefore this workshop aims at bringing together researchers from different fields, irrespective of the type (elliptic/hyperbolic) of PDEs the methods are designed to address.

Plenary speakers:

  • Philip L. Roe (Ann Arbor, USA)
  • Feng Xiao (Tokyo, Japan)
  • Paola F. Antonietti (Milan, Italy)
  • Jérôme Droniou (Montpellier, France & Melbourne, Australia)

The list of participants is available at the bottom of the page.
