In 2005, Godfried Toussaint published the article "The Euclidean Algorithm Generates Traditional Musical Rhythms". He shows that the set of "Euclidean rhythms" generates most of the world music rhythms. In this presentation we will define these rhythms, show how they are linked to the Euclidean algorithm, give some properties of the Euclidean rhythms and of course illustrate the presentation with examples!
