The principle of the French-Korean webinar is to present an overview of an active research topic, made understandable to a large audience. Each lecture starts from the historical developments of the topic, presents some fundamental results and open problems, and finally explains some recent results obtained by the lecturer.

The series of webinars consist in one or two presentations (45 min each), given by a Korean colleague and/or a French colleague. At least the first hour should be easy to follow without prior knowledge on the field (only the basic notions in algebraic and analytic geometry). It is important that a large part of the presentation be devoted to generalities on the subject, presenting the importance of the field, historical developments and the main recent contributions. Giving proofs of recent results is not the purpose.

The proposed organisation of the presentations is:
- generalities about the theory with easy examples,
- 2 or 3 main advances in the field,
- open questions,
- some recent achievements.

The webinar is organised by:
Samuel Boissière (LMA, Poitiers)
Insong Choe (Konkuk University, Seoul)
Dongseon Hwang (IBS - Center for Complex Geometry, Daejeon)
Hervé Gaussier (Institut Fourier, Grenoble)
