Resonance counting for Axiom A flows

Abstract: I will talk about my work with Long Jin on counting scattering resonances for Axiom A flows. The key tool is a local trace formula. I will try to explain why it is hard to get a better bound for resonance counting and discuss the microlocal picture of the trapped set behind it.
