Deformation quantization and hbar-expansion of Wightman distributions

Within the deformation quantization framework, we propose a candidate for the Wightman distributions for a self-interacting 
massive scalar field. The key ingredient in this approach is the 
twisted deformation by the classical wave operators of the corresponding classical wave equation introduced in arXiv:math/0202271. In particular, on a toy model, we show that the 2-point functions exist as a formal series in \hbar of Schwartz distributions.
