Maximum and decay of convolved densities.

In the first part of the talk there will be described some lower bounds for the maximum of functions representable as convolutions of bounded probability densities on the Euclidean space, together with the extension of these bounds to the Renyi entropies. In the second part, we focus on more sensitive non-uniform upper bounds of such functions and discuss some applications to the central limit theorem and to the scheme of Bernoulli convolutions.
