The development team of the open-source Particle-In-Cell (PIC) code SMILEI is happy to announce the second SMILEI training workshop. This two-day event will take place on March 7-8, 2019 at Maison de la Simulation (Saclay, 20 km south of Paris). It is the perfect opportunity for beginners to learn about PIC simulations in a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment, and for current users to strengthen their expertise and/or share their feedbacks/needs with the SMILEI community.
Thursday, March 7
9h30 – SMILEI project review & collaborative framework (T. Vinci)
9h40 – The Particle-In-Cell Method for Plasma Simulation (M. Grech)
10h00 – High-Performance Computing in SMILEI: Parallelisation & Vectorization (M. Lobet)
11h45 – SMILEI user interface (F. Pérez)
