Description
In view of some recent results concerning the Euler system, the measure valued solutions reappeared as a suitable alternative to weak solutions for problems in fluid mechanics. We introduce the concept of dissipative measure-valued solutions to both Euler and the Navier-Stokes system and show some applications: Weak strong uniqueness and stability.
Finally, some examples of numerical schemes will be given, where this technique leads to positive convergence results.
