The positive part of certain configurations spaces and representation theory of quivers

The space of configurations of n points on a projective line has many properties; among them, the fact that its real non-negative points form a structure homeomorphic to an associahedron.  In this talk, I will show that this is a special case of a much more general construction involving representations of associative algebras.  This is from a joint work with Arkani-Hamed, Frost, Salvatori and Thomas.
