Foliations and rational curves

I will begin the talk with an introduction to foliations and the moduli spaces of foliations. I will then discuss the known results on the problem of describing the space of codimension-one foliations with a fixed invariant on algebraic varieties. Finally, I will focus on uniruled varieties, define the degree of a codimension-one foliation with respect to a minimal family of rational curves, and explore the techniques related to deformations of rational curves along foliations.
