On resolution of isolated hypersurface singularities
Given an algebraic variety $V$ with singularities. The problem of resolution of singularities is to find a variety $V'$ and a birational proper morphism $\pi: V' \to V$ such that $V'$ is non-singular. In this talk, I will present a resolution of singularities for a particular class of hypersurface singularities, obtained through explicit constructions in toric geometry.
