Géraldine Haack: Quantum dynamics of Open Quantum Systems

In this short lecture, I will introduce some basic concepts and tools to assess the dynamics of open quantum systems (Kraus operators, master equations, Lindbladians, non-equilibrium steady states). If time allows, this will allow me to discuss non-Hermitian properties of Lindbladians and how they can be exploited to control the dynamics of quantum devices towards their steady state.
