Description
The AMIES organization, largely funded by the CNRS, launched a project in 2023 aimed at promoting public research. To achieve this goal, the AMIES office decided to recruit four engineers from different regions of France, each with a distinct profile, to carry out the project's objectives.

The research engineers involved require a national perspective on challenges. To address these needs, a national structure with designated representatives and clear hierarchies must be developed. This includes organizing meetings, sharing information, and creating a unified vision.

Sustainability, funding, commitment, and a national outlook are essential for the project's structure. The focus should shift towards positioning researchers at the center of initiatives rather than prioritizing corporate or organizational needs. National processes should be developed to simplify researchers' work, ensuring visibility and support.

To engage teacher-researchers, it is crucial to spark their interest, encourage collaborations among researchers, and better distribute tasks between research engineers and teacher-researchers. This can be achieved through awareness campaigns targeting future PhD candidates and offering science-based workshops to inspire curiosity and participation.

Lastly, the aging demographic of researchers and the challenges faced by PhD students in completing their projects are acknowledged. This meeting will focus on identifying areas for improvement to promote mathematics research while maintaining a positive group dynamic and fostering a forward-thinking spirit.
