Description
We review Fredholm conditions for operators contained in the pseudodifferential calculus for
manifolds with a Lie structure at infinity. Then we study the problem of obtaining Atiyah-Singer type index formulas
for Fredholm operators contained in the calculus. Time permitting we discuss some of the applications of the results.
