Description

The topic of Algebraic Geometry is the study of the geometry of zero locii of polynomial equations. In this framework, many notions that are well known to geometers and topologists behave in their usual way, such as dimension and tangency, but some surprises arise when our algebraic set is singular! Let's see what can happen under algebraic deformation for some examples of (complex) curves.
