Description

Rotation is known to restore chiral symmetry at sufficiently high angular velocity, but it can also induce an axial-vector or spin condensate. This condensate, often overlooked, can modify the behavior of the chiral condensate and may even enhance it under rapid rotation. To study this interplay, we compute the phase diagram of the chiral and spin condensates within the Nambu–Jona-Lasinio (NJL) model formulated in a rigidly rotating frame in the mean-field approximation. The resulting spin condensate, which is closely related to magnetization, offers a potential framework for understanding the extreme magnetization observed in neutron stars.
