Description

In this presentation, I will give an overview of the macroevolutionary methods that have permitted to study the latitudinal diversity gradient in the past. This will go from biogeographical reconstructions and diversification analyses based on the fossil record and phylogenetic trees. These methods help unraveling the mechanisms leading to the emergence of global diversity pattern. I will also give a summary of recent results on the potential links between micro and macroevolution.
