A c^*-harmonic approximation result in optimal transport

I will present recent progress towards deriving a partial regularity theory for optimal transportation with cost |x-y|^p. The key observation is a p-harmonic approximation result. This result is also of interest for applications concerning optimal matchings of point clouds in 2d. The talk will emphasize the role of convex duality as well as connections to techniques in the setting of elliptic regularity.
