DESCRIPTION:\nTitle: Calibrated representations of cyclotomic Hecke algebr
as \nat roots of unity \n\nAbstract: The cyclotomic Hecke algebra is a "hi
gher level" version\n of the Iwahori-Hecke algebra of the symmetric group.
It depends on\n a collection of parameters\, and its combinatorics involv
es \nmultipartitions instead of partitions. We are interested in the case\
n when the parameters are roots of unity. In general\, we cannot hope\n fo
r closed-form character formulas of the irreducible representations.\n How
ever\, a certain type of representation called "calibrated" is\n more trac
table: those representations on which the Jucys-Murphy \nelements act semi
simply. We classify the calibrated representations \nin terms of their You
ng diagrams\, give a multiplicity-free formula\n for their characters\, an
d homologically construct them via BGG \nresolutions. This is joint work w
