Quantum computing has been a very active field of research in recent years. Algorithms are based on the manipulation of qubits, which are elementary units of information with quantum properties. These algorithms prove to be much more efficient than classical algorithms because they are massively parallel. Their implementation could have a great impact in the field of scientific computing or in the simulation of quantum systems. Their analysis also requires new mathematical developments.
This school is thus made to trigger some future developments in the math community. It also serves to honour the major contributions of Robert Calderbank in this field.
No background in Quantum Physics and in Quantum Computing is required to attend the first lectures.
