Lie bialgebras and Quantum Groups: Galois cohomology considerations

 The first part of the talk will be a recollection of facts  
arising from the work of Drinfeld, Etingof-Kazhdan and  
Belavin-Drinfeld, outlining the connection between (classical) quantum  
groups and Lie bialgebras. In the second part of the talk I will  
explain how this connection allows Galois cohomology to be used in the  
classification of quantum groups.
