DESCRIPTION: \n\n \n\n\n\nObjectives\nThis summer school (of CEA-EDF-INR
IA type) focuses primarily on physical\, mathematical and numerical aspect
s of electromagnetic wave propagation in fusion plasmas with strong backgr
ound magnetic fields. The models are highly anisotropic\, which is crucial
to the mathematical theory.\nMain topics will include advanced models\, m
odern algorithmic\ndiscretization\, and numerical resolution of wave model
s with varying\ncoefficients since it is a bottleneck for future simulatio
ns.\nThis meeting will also be a great opportunity to discuss other modern
\nchallenges in waves in plasmas\, as well as various aspects of anisotrop
ic wave propagation in different environments.\n--------------------------
