DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Guilhem Mureau\n\n Hawk is a lattice-based signatur
e scheme introduced in 2022 by Ducas\, Postlethwaite\, Pulles and van Woer
den. Its security is related to the hardness of a recent lattice problem c
alled the module Lattice Isomorphism Problem (module-LIP). Since then\, Ha
wk and module-LIP have attracted considerable attention and in July 2026\,
three independent attacks were found on Hawk. This resulted in the withdr
awal of Hawk from the NIST standardization process.  In this talk\, I wil
l present one of these three attacks\, obtained in a joint work with Alice
Pellet-Mary. Our approach builds on a connection between Hawk-like module
lattices and quaternion algebras\, established in Chevignard et al. (Euro
 crypt 2025).\n\nhttps://indico.math.cnrs.fr/event/17646/
