Frieze patterns via Plücker coordinates

In this talk, I will show how to obtain SL_k-frieze patterns using Plücker coordinates by taking certain subcategories of the Grassmannian cluster categories. These are cluster structures associated to the Grassmannians of k dimensional subspaces in n-space. While many of these patterns arise from specialising a cluster to 1, there are also other types of SL_k-friezes. We will show some examples. In general, it is an open question how they arise.
