Description

In this talk, I will explain how one can generalize Klartag's method of stochastically evolving ellipsoids to create improvements in the best known sphere packing densities in infinitely many dimensions. The result multiplies a modest factor of log log d to the packing density, where d is the dimension. I will talk about the mathematics behind the result, the role of AI and some personal opinions about mathematics in the era of proof abundance.
