The Journées Arithmétiques is a major scientific event traditionally held every two years. It is governed by an international scientific committee and a local organizing committee.
Established in 1960 in Grenoble at the initiative of Claude Chabauty, the conference became international in 1980. Since then, it has been held alternately in France and abroad.
This international meeting brings together between 200 and 250 participants, primarily early-career researchers in number theory from France, Europe, and worldwide, alongside world-renowned plenary speakers. It provides a platform for researchers across various branches of number theory to meet and gain an overview of the latest advancements in the field. The 2027 edition will be hosted in Bordeaux.
