 uring this talk I will present recent results about the geometric entangle
 ment of random states which is a natural measure of multipartite entanglem
 ent. \nI will show how techniques coming from the study of the complexity
  of spherical spin glasses can be used to determine bounds and convergence
  of the geometric entanglement\nin both the limit of large local dimension
  and the limit of a large number of parties for Haar random states. \nTim
 e permitting\, I will describe a new\, simpler approach to this problem\, 
 allowing to obtain both asymptotic and non asymptotic results for non-Haar
