DESCRIPTION:This workshop brings together mathematicians specializing in m
 athematical modeling\, PDE theory\, and probability theory\, and biologist
 s specializing in evolutionary biology\, to discuss problems\, methods\, a
 nd results related to the topics of the ERC project MUSEUM. This project i
 s interested in the asymptotic analysis of multi-scale integro-differentia
 l equations and stochastic individual-based models arising in evolution bi
 ology. Three main research directions will be discussed:\n\n\nanalysis of 
 the infinitesimal model of sexual reproduction\, impact of the sexual repr
 oduction on the adaptation of populations\n\n\nlink between stochastic ind
 ividual-based models and Hamilton-Jacobi equations\, impact of demographic
  stochasticity on the adaptation of populations\n\n\nadaptation of complex
  traits\, such as age-dependent traits in pathogens or size-dependent trai
 ts in plants\n\n\n \nThe workshop will begin in the early afternoon of Ja
